Green Deal: Partnership for Climate-Resilient Communities
The conference was held at Obedska bara on 24 October 2025, organised by the Aarhus Centre Novi Sad and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
Prof. Dr Mirjana Drenovak-Ivanović addressed active public participation in environmental protection and the way the Aarhus Convention and Serbia’s legal framework can turn participation into partnership among citizens, institutions and local communities.
The Handbook on Access Rights and Public Participation in Environmental Matters was also presented. The discussion confirmed that transparency, accountability and cooperation are essential to climate resilience and trust in decision-making.
