Recognition for Contributions to the Development of Environmental Law
Prof. Dr Mirjana Drenovak-Ivanović received the 2023 Green Leaf Award for the development of environmental law.
The Green Leaf is among Serbia’s oldest environmental awards. It was established to raise awareness of the importance of the environment and to present environmental problems and possible solutions. The award is supported by Radio Belgrade’s environmental programme “Čekajući vetar” and the Environmental Movement of Vojvodina. The recognition was presented as an additional responsibility to continue developing environmental law and protecting environmental rights.
The award constituted public recognition of long-term work on developing teaching, legal practice and institutional cooperation in environmental law. The JMC EECL website presents it as external recognition of the Chair holder’s professional contribution, not as a result financed or awarded within the project.
