Tenth Cohort of the Environmental Law Clinic Formally Opened
The new cohort was welcomed at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law on 11 October 2024.
Students were addressed by Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Jan Braathu, Clinic Director Prof. Dr Mirjana Drenovak-Ivanović, Vice-Dean Prof. Dr Marko Jovanović, OSCE representatives, Clinic secretaries and alumni working in public institutions, legal practice, civil society and the corporate sector.
The ceremony included the presentation of certificates to the preceding cohort and an introductory lecture on the programme and clinical teaching methodology. The Clinic’s new student secretaries were also introduced.
The tenth-cohort programme continued as a two-semester form of clinical education combining theory, practical assignments, mentoring and professional placements. Alumni contributions enabled new participants to see how Clinic knowledge is used in public administration, the judiciary, legal practice, civil-society organisations and the business sector. Continuity between cohorts is an important element of the institutional sustainability of JMC EECL results.
