Teaching, Readers and Digital Learning Materials
Teaching materials were developed for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies and for practical work within the Environmental Law Clinic.
Two Readers were developed: one in Environmental Law and one in Climate Change Law. They are accompanied by presentations, summaries of national, European and comparative case law, hypothetical and scenario-based cases, discussion tasks, research assignments and mock-court materials. Dedicated materials were prepared for practical work on access to drinking water and for analysis of the relationship between human rights, the environment and climate change.
Students access the materials through Moodle together with syllabi, presentations and practical-work instructions. Teaching in the summer semester of the 2024/2025 academic year was delivered online through webinars. Selected public materials are published on the JMC EECL website, while copyright-protected materials remain restricted to registered students.
The Readers provide a systematic foundation for teaching, while presentations and practical materials allow content to be updated regularly in line with developments in EU law and case law. Hypothetical and scenario cases are used to identify legal issues, select sources, construct arguments and prepare written or oral solutions. This combination supports conventional teaching, problem-based learning and clinical legal education.
