Presentation of the Master’s Programme in Environmental Law for 2024/2025
The programme and syllabi were presented at an information session held at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law on 24 September 2024.
Teaching within JMC EECL covered environmental impact assessment, integrated permits, the relationship between planning, construction and energy law and environmental law, and recent national, comparative and European Court of Human Rights practice.
A separate part of the programme addressed new EU sustainable-business and green-transition legislation, including the CSDDD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, Critical Raw Materials Regulation, rules on green claims and CBAM. Case studies connected legal analysis with social, business, ethical and scientific issues.
The presentation demonstrated that curriculum modernisation was not limited to updating reading lists but included new regulatory fields and teaching methods. Students were introduced to teaching based on national and European cases, links among administrative, business and human-rights law and the implications of the green transition for companies and public administration. JMC EECL results were thereby incorporated directly into regular master’s teaching.
